Application ProcessAll Referrals to Fresh Hope can be made through our Intake Officer on 0417 786 782. Once contact has been made with the Intake Officer and it has been established that you fulfil all requirements for the program, an application form will be filled out with information about your circumstances.
This includes contact information, number of children, drug history, any current court matters, domestic violence concerns, and contact with Child Safety. The intake officer will also speak to you about the detoxification process and if necessary, referrals will be made to appropriate services for alcohol and methadone detoxification which has to be done in a hospital.
It is important to demonstrate to the intake officer that you are committed to undergoing the Rehabilitation program and therefore you will be required to keep in regular phone contact with the Intake Officer.
![]() An interview with the Senior Counsellor and Intake Officer will be organised once there is an available placement within the Fresh Hope program and your commitment has been established. This is generally organised for a mutually suitable location and time.
The interview gives you a chance to ask any questions about the program and the possible opportunity to speak to a past or current resident of the program to hear their perspective of the recovery process and the Fresh Hope program. You are welcome to bring any suitable support people to this interview and where possible, we also like you to bring your children.
If your suitability for the program is agreed upon, then a date for you to join the program is set. Depending upon available beds, your detoxification process and other factors, this date could be as soon as the interview day or a number of weeks later. It is a requirement that you keep contact with the Intake Officer until your arrival into the program.
